What are some common symbols used in photography?
Q. I am creating a poster and a website for a photo competition. I am looking for some commonly used symbols in photography that I might be able to use as graphics. Are there any such symbols? Like, anything commonly recognizable for F Stop, Shutter Speed, Exposure, Aperture? Or are all these just written out? For example, designing a Math booklet, I might use different symbols like +, -, x, *,%, etc. Thanks for any help!

How do Astrological Symbols relating to my birth relate to me as a person now?
Q. I was born February 13, 1985 at exactly 12 noon. How do I find out the various astrological symbols (besides Aquarius) and how they relate to the day and date I was born. I heard that some symbols are thought to be determiners of personality and I want to know my own to determine the truth of this thought in my own life. Thanks! A. Basically, every planet is a significater of a particular set of personality traits. Mars being physical aggression, and assertiveness; Venus being love and seductive ability; Moon being the emotions and unconscious, and so on. Whichever sign a planet falls into during your time of birth, is the sign whose characteristics the planet will invoke when expressing itself. For example, a person with a Leo-Mars would express themselves with a great deal of pride, self-confidence and a possibly domineering nature - characteristics of Leo. A. I can give you a little help, but if this is for a twelve page paper, you're really going to want to do a lot of additional research. Are there a lot of symbols unique to FIRST communion? Some of the symbols for communion in the Roman Catholic Church: White clothes: purity, innocence Blessing with holy water: Baptism, rebirth Priest's stole: patience Priest's chasuble: charity Images of bread/wheat and wine/grapes: the Eucharist Washing of hands: interior purification Breaking of the bread: unity (one bread is shared among many) Mixing water with the wine: How blood and water flowed from Christ's side

Many of these symbols do not have words that accompany them so that all people (including those that do not speak the language) can understand them.
