What happens to your bank accounts if you loose your job in Dubai?
Q. Say I get a work permit and residents visa through an employer in Dubai. I then go and open 5 current accounts at 5 different banks in Dubai. After 8 months I loose my job. Obviously I will have to leave the country because my visa will be cancelled. But what happens to my current accounts in Dubai if all 5 accounts are in credit by large amounts? Will the banks close my accounts and ask me to transfer all my funds abroad or will i still be able to keep my accounts as long as i'm in credit? Thanks.

A. Check with the bank about the rules. They are in the best position to give you advice. Besides that, as long as you have an ATM card that could be used anywhere, you should be okay withdrawing money. However, you should check with a tax consultant in your home country, if you're returning home, you may be required to report the income when you return.

What is the accounting for Accounts Receivable Funding when purchasing a company?
Q. I Bought a Company in Jan 2007. I am funding the purchase from the Accounts Receivables, ie: I am Paying the previous owner out of the Future Accounts Receivable for One year. What would be the correct Debits and Credits for this type of ongoing transactions?

A. Would it be better to factor your A/R? This is done through Purchase orders and we pick the PO up and send cash minus our fees. Most of the time this is a nominal fee. Lets say for $10,000 purchase order -- when it is all said and done the fees are around $500.

How do you set up outlook express on different accounts on your PC?
Q. I have set up outlook express on one PC account and it works fine. But how do I get it to receive the same emails on different PC accounts without stopping other accounts from receiving the same messages. Is it as simple as signing into the same internet account? Will that allow different accounts to receive the messages? Or do you have to create a shared message store or something?

A. You just set up additional Outlook accounts, one for each of your email accounts. (I don't know if you can do that on Outlook Express - you can on Outlook.)
